A major natural resource that i believe will eventually run out in the next 10 years and could lead to conflict is oil. There is most definitley a constant fear of reaching peak oil and this fear continues to haunt the oil industry. Because we are living in an infinite world with finite resources oil will eventually run out.The BP Statistical Review of World Energy in June measured total global oil at 188.8 million tonnes, from proved oil resources at the end of 2010. This is only enough to oil for the next 46.2 years, should global production remain at the current rate. So it may not be in the next 10 years that oil runs out however it will eventually. Saudi Arabia has almost one-fifth of the world's proven oil reserves and ranks as the largest producer and exporter of oil in the world.They are very much dependent on the oil industry for income, so when oil does run out this is where i believe we will see the most conflict .
